Kendall, Taylor notch aces at River Wilds
Kerry Kendall and Matt Taylor recently notched aces playing at River Wilds Golf Club.
Kendall first recorded a hole-in-one July 23 on the 150-yard No. 4. Kellen Derry, Gene Tietz and Jeff Smith witnessed the shot completed with a 9-iron.
Taylor, meanwhile, aced hole No. 7 on Aug. 17. The golfer's 9-iron swing sent the ball 150 yards into the cup as Jeff O'Connor, and Collin and Corey Wright watched.

AYS, FCYSO start football seasons
Fifth- and sixth-grade Arlington Youth Sports (AYS) and Fort Calhoun Youth Sports Organization (FCYSO) football tams started their Great Plains Youth Football (GPYF) seasons last weekend.
The Pioneers hosted a fellow Jr. Midget team from St. Wenceslaus/St. Stephens on Sunday afternoon and won, 19-13. They next play 5 p.m. Sunday against a Jr. Patriots White team at FCHS.
The AYS Eagles, meanwhile, lost their Jr. Midget opener to Logan View, 28-6. They next play the Fremont Jr. Tigers at 2 p.m. Sunday on Heedum Field in Fremont.
Blair Jr. Bear teams, meanwhile, are expected to start Metro Youth Football League play Sept. 4.
