As the Blair Public Library staff welcomes the new year, the popular Spice Club is returning with the first session Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 11:30 a.m. in the library meeting room.
With so many spices and so little time, the first session of the new year will feature two totally different tastes – dill and cardamom.
Dill can be used for so much more than pickles so the world of dill will be explored with sample tasting in dishes you might least expect to find it.
Cardamom is the third most expensive spice in the world and not something we pick up on a whim for something we might make "some" day. Cardamom can be used in both sweet and savory dishes, and we will explore both worlds.
Signup for the spice club along with the $1 participation fee can be done at the circulation desk in the library. Space is limited to 10.
