Blair struggles at home
The Blair Senior Legion baseball team dropped back-to-back games Tuesday at Vets Field, falling to 17-15 overall this season.
The Westview Royal squad first beat Post 154 7-5 before the Westview Black lineup took just four innings to beat coach James Bilslend's 16-0.
Against the Royal team, Blair held a 3-1 lead going into the fifth inning. From there, though, Westview outscored the home squad 6-2 for the win.
The Black squad later scored 12 first-inning runs to start the second game of Post 154's doubleheader. Blair never recovered, losing by run-rule.
On Monday, though, Post 154's Carter Saylor scored the game-winning run during the top of the seventh inning in Plattsmouth. The tally allowed for a 6-5 victory — Blair's 17th of the season.
Altogether, Max Rump led the victors at the plate, going 3-for-3. Jackson Livingston and Hans Sorensen added two hits apiece as well.
Post 154's Brevin Leggott, meanwhile, earned the pitching win after Brock Hamm struck out three batters across 5 1/3 innings to start.

Calhoun falls at Gross
The Fort Calhoun Senior Legion baseball team lost a 3-1 game at Omaha Gross on Tuesday.
The loss dropped Zig Drywall Post 348's season record to 18-14 overall.
Trailing 2-0, coach Jerry Wellwood's team scored its lone run during the third inning. Jordan Back, Levi Lasher and Nathan Kramer loaded the bases with one out, but only Back made it home when Alex Christensen drew a walk.
Post 348 started Springfield Invitational play Thursday, but it continues 2:30 p.m. today with a game against Auburn at Buffalo Park. Calhoun also plays 12:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday in Springfield.
