The Fort Calhoun High School golf team had a successful trip to the North Bend Central Invite on April 30.
“Beau had his career low score and we all stayed dry,” coach Dustin Humphrey said.
The 18-hole tournament was delayed due to rain, but the Pioneers finished with 373 strokes. Beau Ruma only contributed 84 swing toward the total, taking 43 swings across the front nine holes and just 41 on the back nine.
The FCHS golfer finished six holes even and birdied the 484-yard, par-5 No. 13 hole.
Additionally, Tysen Sunderman carded 90 swings and Caden Newman had 97. Both Pioneers shot par on three holes apiece.
Korbin Klein also carded 102 strokes for Coach Humphrey's squad. It next plays 9 a.m. today at the Logan View Invitational at Elkhorn Valley Golf Club.
