It's 2023 and spring and summer youth sports opportunities are already available in Washington County.
Organizations in Blair, Arlington and Fort Calhoun have opened registrations periods for sports including soccer, baseball and softball. To add to the list, sports teams and organizations may email sports@enterprisepub.com with registration details.

Blair FC
Registration for the Blair Football Club (FC) spring soccer season is now open, though families who registered for a full season in the fall will not have to sign up again.
The soccer organization offers developmental in-house, recreational and competitive/select youth programs to be played March 25 to May 13. The developmental academy program is for ages 3 and younger to 6 and younger as well as an ages 7U-to-8U program.
Recreational play for 9U and 10U players focuses on “building team rosters with players that attend the same school while also considering teammate and coach requests,” according to the FC website. Teams play in the Nebraska Youth Soccer League (NSYL).
Select teams from 11U to 15U also play in the NYSL, too. They practice at least twice a week during the season.

The registration period, however, is now open. It closes Feb. 28.
Ballplayers ages 4-14 can sign up for Little League baseball across six divisions. T-ball is for ages 4-5, while coach pitch/beginning kid pitch is for 6-7.
The Rookies division is for 8 year olds, while Minors and Majors teams are for 9-10 and 11-12 year old kids, respectively. Players who are 13-14 can play in a Senior division from May 1-June 30. The rest of the seasons last from April 1 to June 25.

Registration for the 2023 Fort Calhoun Youth Sports Organization (FCYSO) softball season is ongoing.
Teams will compete in age 8 and younger, 10U and 12U divisions of either the Logan Valley or the Greater Omaha Softball League. “A” and “B” teams will be established if participation numbers allow.
