Post 154 Seniors suffer walk-off loss in ENBL tourney opener

The Blair Senior Legion baseball team's recent struggles continued Tuesday with a walk-off loss in their Eastern Nebraska Baseball League (ENBL) Tournament opener.
The Post 154 Bears (9-11 overall) lost 4-3 at Wahoo State Bank Post 82, dropping into the consolation bracket. The loss was their third straight and seventh in their last eight completed.
Tyler Andersen led Blair on the mound with eight strikeouts across 5 innings. He threw as Wahoo scored three runs during the third inning, but left with the score even — 3-3.
Greyson Kay led the Bears at the plate with two RBIs. Dylan Swanson, Tanner Jacobson, Nate Wachter, Andersen and he finished with a hit apiece.
The Blair Juniors, meanwhile, started their ENBL tournament run at Elkhorn Mount Michael with a 13-5 loss to the Kelly Ryan Pride of Omaha Roncalli. Both brackets continued play Wednesday through Thursday.
Both Post 154 teams will play Saturday before Sunday's doubleheader at Vets Field. The Bears will celebrate the Fourth of July and honor veterans between games on Sunday with the first starting at noon.
