The Blair Senior Legion baseball team suffered a road loss Tuesday evening.
The Post 154 Bears dropped to 8-7 this season with the 3-0 loss against Wahoo State Bank. It was coach James Bilslend's squad's third-straight defeat.
The Blair Juniors, meanwhile, lost a 13-0 game in Wahoo.
Prior to their road struggles in Wahoo, though, the Post 154 Bears played a unique Senior Legion doubleheader Monday in Omaha. They lost to the Kelly Ryan Pride of Roncalli, 11-7, and Concordia, 1-0, in a pair of games previously suspended by weather conditions. The nightcap with the Mustangs previously started June 7, while the Roncalli game was forced to stop June 14.
The Pride won by four runs after scoring five during the sixth inning and six in the seventh against Blair. Dylan Swanson and Greyson Kay led Post 154 in defeat with two RBIs apiece. Bo Nielsen, meanwhile, was 3-for-3 at the plate with one more.
Then, after a short drive east to the Omaha Home for Boys, the Bears restarted their game with Concordia in the bottom of the second inning. The Mustangs scored their lone run during the frame and won by that margin.
Tanner Jacobson doubled during the Post 154 loss, while Ethan Baessler and Swanson supplied the only other hits.
Blair pitcher Kaden Fletcher threw all six innings against Concordia despite their near-two week break in-between the game's start and finish. He struck out three batters and allowed just three hits.
The Bears were scheduled to play Waterloo-Valley on Wednesday and next compete 5:30 p.m. tonight during the Dave Van Metre Tournament at John Stella Field in Omaha's Brown Park.
