Despite a 2-for-2 night at the plate from freshman Kaylee Taylor, the Fort Calhoun softball team fell 10-0 to Omaha Duchesne/Roncalli on Tuesday at Dill Field.
The Pioneer accounted for the majority of FCHS' hits as Addie Benoit, another freshman, added a third. Morgan Therkildsen and Anna Taylor tallied a walk apiece, too. The loss dropped coach Mandy Taylor's team to 3-5 this season.
Fort Calhoun's Anna Taylor and Lucie Larsen split pitching duties with Larsen striking out two batters. The winning pitcher, Duchesne's Lindsay Bauer, struck out four during the four-inning game.
Duchesne improved to 3-5 with the win, finishing with 10 hits. Sidney Kitto led her squad with a game-high three RBIs.
