One driver is under investigation for driving under the influence following a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon near the 13000 block of U.S. Highway 75.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office and Blair Fire and Rescue responded to the accident a little after 3 p.m.

Capt. Aaron Brensel said a witness reported a vehicle, a beige Ford Taurus, was driving recklessly north of Herman at the county line.

Another witness was following the driver, and saw the driver veer right off the side of the road after swerving in and out and off of the fog lane.

The driver collided with a guard rail, causing damage to the front of the vehicle.

The driver refused medical transport.
