The Class B No. 7 Blair girls soccer team battled until the end at No. 2 Norris on Monday evening.
The 10-1 Titans, however, claimed the 0-0 match with a 4-3 shoutout victory. The loss dropped coach Nick Hall's Bears to 10-2.
For 100 minutes of soccer, neither team scored a goal during the Eastern Midlands Conference matchup. Regan Blattert kept a clean sheet in goal for BHS before referee set up the tie-breaking shootout on Norris' home field.
The Titans made all four of their attempts, while Blair came up empty on two of five. Successfully finding the back of the net for the Bears, though, were Brynn Ray, Ryen Anderson and Laynie Brown.
Norris' goalkeeper saved Gueryn Kay's attempt, while Claire Anderson's went high.
BHS was scheduled to play at Bennington on Thursday and next competes Tuesday against Elkhorn in its regular season finale. The home match starts at 6:30 p.m.
