Nielsen pitches Blair Senior Legion to 1-0 win

Bears extend winning streak to 7

Blair Senior Legion baseball pitcher Bo Nielsen allowed just one hit across seven innings Sunday as the Post 154 Bears added to their winning streak to start the summer season.
Coach James Bilslend's team improved to 7-0 with its 1-0 win at Omaha Roncalli.
Nielsen struck out five Kelly Ryan Pride batters during his one-hitter, allowing just two to reach base by walk. He threw 104 pitches, including 63 for strikes.
Greyson Kay and Tanner Jacobson, meanwhile, managed the Bears' lone hits. Jacobson scored during the fourth inning, while Blaine Rosenbaum recorded the RBI.
Blair's Lee Chavez-Lara and Nielsen walked two times each as the visiting team won despite leaving 12 runners on base.
Post 154 was scheduled to face Hickman on Wednesday before Yankton, S.D., tournament play begins today. The Bears play at 9:30 and 11:45 a.m.

Juniors fall to Pride
The Blair Junior Legion baseball team is 4-5 overall after its most recent game.
The Post 154 Bears lost to Omaha Roncalli on Tuesday, 8-0. The game went just five innings in Omaha.
On Sunday, though, Blair avoided a winless Elkhorn Mount Micheal tournament showing with a 9-2 win against McKeans Floors. Post 154 led 5-0 through two innings and never trailed, picking up its fourth win of the season.
