Blair Post 154 wins 2 routs
The Blair Post 154 Junior Legion baseball team outscored its opposition by a combined score of 29-6 Wednesday and Friday at Vets Field.
First, on June 4, it took Blair a little more than an hour to beat the Platte River Rivals from Morse Bluff and Schuyler. Coach Sean Munger's team earned the 15-0 win in four innings, scoring six second inning runs, four in the third and five more during the fourth.
Parker Jennings went 3-for-3 during the run-rule victory, while Lane Christensen earned the pitching win.
Post 154 then beat Omaha Concordia 14-6 on Friday night. Ike Petersen singled during the first inning, scoring two runs as the home squad built a 4-1 lead from there.
Concordia pulled even at 4-all later, but Blair scored four runs during the bottom of the fourth frame to earn the lead for good. The Juniors improved to 4-2 this season with the win.

Calhoun improves to 4-3
Cavin Greiner notched a vital two-run single Friday as the Fort Calhoun Juniors topped Seward, 6-5.
Zig Drywall trailed 5-4 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but improved to 4-3 after Greiner's game-altering swing.
Two days earlier, June 4, Post 348 lost a 4-3 game in Valley against the Waterloo-Valley Wingnuts. The home team won the game in its last at-bat on a sacrifice groundout.
Fort Calhoun, however, took a 3-2 lead with three runs during the top of the seventh inning. Blake Work, Gavin Raether and Aiden Johnson all plated runs before the Wingnuts' comeback.

Arlington beats Tekamah
The Arlington Juniors were originally scheduled to host South Sioux City on Friday, but the game was postponed due to an issue with the Washington County Fairgrounds field lights the previous night. Post 71 was scheduled to play Monday, too, and next competes Wednesday when it hosts Pender at 5:30 p.m.
According to Tekamah-Herman's GameChanger stat-keeping, though, Arlington won the teams' June 4 game 8-2 despite being outhit 4-3. Post 71 earned a 3-1 lead during the top of the fourth inning and led from there, scoring five runs during the sixth frame to all but put the game away.
