Julie L. Brown, age 64 of Blair, passed away May 8, 2022. Private family services will be held.
Julie was born on Sept. 21, 1957, the daughter of Kenneth and Geraldine Moore. She was raised in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1975. In 1974 she was united in marriage to David R. Brown Sr. Over the years Julie worked with David at their company Brown’s Janitorial Service while attending Dana College. In 1991 Julie graduated from Dana with a degree in accounting. She was a longtime employee of Great Plains Communications in Blair. Julie was a very active member in the VFW Auxiliary, serving as a local President and the state President in 2014-2015. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, tending to her flower garden, and attending auxiliary functions.
She is survived by her children; Linda (Lorren) Ferguson of Mesa, Ariz., DeAnna (Jerome) Kazakevicius of Bellevue, David (Leslie) Brown of Bennington, Casey (Lindsey) Brown of Omaha and Amanda Brown of Bellevue, sister Carla Haswell and brother Kenneth “Joe” Moore, 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, along with extended family and countless loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Brown Sr. , daughter Wendy Lynn Brown, and her parents.
