Calhoun earns 4th at Lincoln High Duals
The Fort Calhoun High School boys wrestling team earned a 2-2 dual record Saturday, finishing fourth out of eight teams at Lincoln High's tournament.
The Pioneers lost their third-place matchup against Papillion-La Vista South, 53-29, after going 2-1 in pool competition. FCHS beat Platteview and Omaha South by identical 52-30 scores before a 57-20 loss to Lincoln Southeast, which finished first overall.
Pioneers Lucas DeMilt (four wins), Merritt Olberding (three), Presley Olberding (four), Sean Waters (one), Levi Lasher (three), TJ DeMilt (two), Daniel Doyle (one) and Alex Schuler (two) all won contested matches during the tournament. Notably, Lucas DeMilt, Merritt Olberding, Presley Olberding, Waters and Schuler didn't lose any matches.
FCHS next competes Saturday during the Class B-1 District Tournament at Crete.

AHS' Flesner, Johannes win brackets
Arlington wrestlers Jake Flesner and Tate Johannes won their weight classes Saturday as the Eagles finished fifth during the Wakefield Trojan Invite.
West Point-Beemer earned first at the tournament, but coach Doug Hart's squad scored 96 overall team points with bracket wins at 120 and 190 pounds, respectively.
Flesner was 3-0 at 120 pounds, securing two pins and a 21-6 technical fall. He outscored Wayne's Ethan Gregory 21-6 in 4:38 to close out the first-place finish.
Johannes, meanwhile, was 3-0 at 190 pounds with two pins and an 11-4 decision against Stanton wrestler Garrett Hansen. The Eagle is 24-9 overall.
In addition to the first-place results, AHS' Cameron Hancock and Stokely Lewis secured third-place results at 132 and 175 pounds, respectively. Hancock was 3-1 with a pin, a technical fall and a 1-0 decision, while Lewis was 4-1 with a pin, a technical fall and two decisions.
The Eagles next compete Saturday in Malcolm during the Class C-1 District Tournament.
