Gale Kay Penry, 68 years, passed away at Good Shepard Lutheran nursing home in Blair, Neb., on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024.
Gale was born to Floyd O. and Alice M.(Morris) Schlotfeld in Oakland, Neb. on Feb. 9, 1955.
Gale attended abd graduated from Oakland High School in Oakland, Neb.
When Gale first came to Blair, she worked at Blair Maple Cafe and later for many years at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair, Neb., where she retired from.
Gale was known for her pleasant demeanor and her contagious laugh.
She will be greatly missed by her significant other Richard Golden, daughter Kristal (Jerome Hilton) Penry, her two grandsons — whom she adored — Brayden Penry and Gage Penry all of Blair, Neb.
Her sister Roxann Phillips of Fremont, Neb. Two nephews Jody Olson, Lincoln, Neb., and Chad Olson Olathe, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Larry Olson; brother-in-law, Gary Phillipsk and nephew Scott Kindschuh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
