The Arlington and Fort Calhoun High School football teams picked up victories Friday night.
The Eagles beat North Bend Central on the road, while the Pioneers beat Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at home. The Blair Bears, though, dropped a 42-0 game at Class B No. 4 Bennington to remain winless.

Coach Will Lansman’s Bears are 0-6 after Friday’s 42-point loss on the Badgers’ home field.
Bennington (5-1 overall) led 7-0 just 62 seconds into the game, but didn’t score again until the second quarter against BHS’ defense. The Badgers would lead 21-0 at the break, though, and added three more touchdowns in the third quarter.
Highlights for Blair included a Hayden Daggett interception, a Colin McCabe first-down run on a Brevin Leggott pitch and Bo Meier’s catch onto Bennington’s side of the 50-yard line during the second quarter.
The Bears next play 4-2 Seward on Oct. 10 at Krantz Field.

No. 8 Fort Calhoun 35, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 10
The Pioneers (5-1) bounced back from their first loss of the season last week with a 35-10 home win against Logan View (2-4) on Friday. Coach Zach Byrd’s team trailed 10-6 through one quarter, but took the lead for good on a Blake Welchert touchdown during the second quarter. Kaiden Rodriguez added a pair of second half scores, according to Fort Calhoun Activities social media posts, while Conner Hart returned a Raider turnover for six points as well.
Class C1 No. 8 FCHS next hosts Omaha Concordia, which dropped to 4-2 Friday, on Oct. 10.

Arlington 30, North Bend Central 14
Three-straight second-half touchdowns allowed Arlington to turn a 14-6 third-quarter deficit into a 30-14 road win against the Tigers (2-4) on Friday.
Late during the third, AHS’ Owen Ladehoff scored a short rushing touchdown before Luke Sharp’s 2-point conversion catch tied the game at 14-all.
From there, the Eagles’ Ben Flesner scored on two touchdown runs, and on a pair of two-point conversions, as coach Troy Schlueter’s team improved to 4-2. It next hosts Yutan on Oct. 10 in Class C2 play.
