The Fremont High School swimming team, and its Arlington and Blair athletes, is set to compete Saturday during an Elkhorn meet at Common Ground Community Center.
The invitational starts at 8:30 a.m. and will be the Tigers' last competition until 2023. They host Lincoln North Star and Lincoln Pius X for a triangular Jan. 5.
FHS competed Monday at Millard South and lost a pair of duals. The girls dropped their's 105-73, while the boys fell 100-79.
Going into the dual with the AquaPats, Arlington's Brynn Eckhart led her team with the season's best 1-meter dive score, while Lizzie Meyer had the fastest 50- and 100-yard freestyle times — 25.42 and 55.85 seconds, respectively.
Blair's Ryleigh Schroeter led all Fremont swimmers in the 100- and 200-yard fly with times of 1:02.86 and 2:01.99, while Jane Busboom's 1:03.09 was the Tigers' best in the 100 backstroke.
AHS' Cade Arnett held his team's second-best times in the 50 and 100 freestyles, while Jacob Hanson of BHS had produced Fremont's second-best 100 fly time. Another Eagle, Dathan Hansen, held the Tigers' third-best time in the 500 freestyle going into the Millard South dual, too.
