The Fremont High School boys earned third Saturday during an Elkhorn swim meet at the Common Ground Recreation and Aquatic Center.
The Tigers finished behind the host team and Omaha Skutt/Elkhorn Mount Michael, while the FHS girls took sixth behind first-place Omaha Marian.
Jacob Hanson, however, was the most successful Washington County swimmer in the pool. The Blair High School student-athlete secured an event win alongside his Fremont relay teammates — Zayne Keslar, Micah Moore and Elliot Vech — stopping the 200-yard freestyle race clock in 1:31.
Hanson added a second-place individual finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.5, too, while his 200 medley relay squad earned the same placing.
Hanson's fellow Bears — Jane Busboom, Ryleigh Schroeter and Kennedy Zehner — earned fourth-place results during relay races in Elkhorn as well. Busboom, however, added a second-place 100 freestyle finish in 54.9 seconds, while she also took fourth in the 50-yard free.
Schroeter added fourth-place individual finishes in the 200 freestyle (2:01.46) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.14).
Arlington's Dathan Hansen swam for Fremont, too, and took 10th in the 100 breaststroke. BHS' Mason Lau (11th in the 400 free relay) and Hannah Huenink (13th in the 400 relay) were apart of top-15 results as well, and LeLah Filows 200 relay team took 23rd.
On Dec. 20, Arlington student-athlete Eli Hansen competed during the Elkhorn Invite's 11-dive competition. He finished seventh out of eight performers, concluding the day with a score of 180.
The Tigers will next compete Jan. 7 against Omaha Westside. The first dual of 2025 starts at 4:30 p.m. in Fremont's Dillon Family Aquatics Center pool.
