Arlington, meanwhile, took fifth in the boys' standings and secured a seventh-place girls result.

FCHS wins 10 events
Across 34 boys and girls events in Valley, FCHS earned 10 wins at DC West on Thursday.
The Pioneer boys claimed six event wins, while the girls finished with four. Michael Maxon and Kaylee Taylor were apart of three each.
Maxon, notably, won the 100- and 200-meter dashes. He stopped the clock in 11.03 seconds across 100, while earning another gold in 22.44 across twice the distance.
The Calhoun sprinter also joined Alex Schuler, Clay Bohnenkamp and Kaiden Rodriguez for first in the 400-meter relay race. They finished the event into a stiff wind in 43.55 seconds.
TJ DeMilt, Dylan Keyser and Andrew Namuth secured field event wins for Coach Taylor's boys team, too. DeMilt cleared 11 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault, while Keyser's best discus attempt covered 151-2.

The sophomore thrower won both the shot put and discus, while her teammates — Dallin Franzluebbers and Corrine May — secured a race win apiece.

Franzluebbers won his event on the track. To go along with second- and third-place results in the 200- and 100-meter dashes, the senior claimed first during the 400 dash in 51.19 seconds.
May added an AHS event win in the 3,200 run, too. The freshman's gold-medal time was 13:06.12.
