The Fort Calhoun Pioneers broke their four-game losing skid Thursday with a 9-0 softball road win at Cass.
Lucie Larsen pitched the five-inning shutout, striking out seven batters and surrendering just three hits.
At the plate, FCHS' Sam Brewer tallied two RBIs, while Larsen, Izzy Greenough, Anna Taylor, Sammie Ladwig and Bryanna Bender notched one apiece.
Addie Benoit, Katilyn Welchert and Kaylee Taylor didn't knock in Pioneer runs, but they did all produce two hits each, too.
Coach Mandy Taylor's team was then supposed to play Saturday during a tournament in Plattsmouth, but it was canceled by rain. Next, Fort Calhoun hosts Class C No. 1 Yutan tonight on Parents' Night.
