The Eastern Cornhusker Trapshooting Conference hit its fifth week of shoots Saturday with North Division events near Ashland, Bellevue and Papillion.
The Fremont team's Senior Division shooters competed at Ashland Gun Club, producing a second-place handicap shoot finish. The runner-up Gold lineup included Kellen Shelton — the high overall champ — Wyatt Widman, John Von Behren, Cyris Sass and Trenton Hansen.
Widman was second as a individual in the handicap shoot, going 47-for-50, while Hansen earned first from 18-19 yards with a 44-for-50 effort.
Other Fremont marksmen — including multiple from Arlington — who hit 80 percent of their shots or better were Gage Knoell, Kaleb Dowling, Zane Gerrish, Hudson Knoell, Aiden Menking, Jake Flesner, Caiden Stover, Ayden Schuller, Drake Daubert, Colton Indra, Cooper Staats, Hudson Ayer and Carter Olson.
Meanwhile, in Bellevue, Blair Youth Shooting Sports (BYSS) produced two Senior Division award winners in week No. 5. Jaydyn Backman was second in the high overall female standings, going 86-for-100. Tregan Baker was second, too, but from 22-23 yards. He was 43-for-50 from the distance and shot 86 clay pigeons overall Saturday.
BYSS' highest overall finisher, however, was Jase Lantry. He was 88-for-100, finishing just outside of the top-three after a 15-for-20 effort in the tiebreaker.
Blair's Jager Leichleiter, Kai Koeltzow, Elijah Tabor, Gavin Baker, Aaron Hinman, Henry Valasek and Michael Amandus all hit 80 percent of their shots or better, too.

Junior Division shooters with the Fremont and Blair teams both competed Saturday in Papillion. Fremont's Cade Lynch was the Junior Champion as the Black lineup took second, while William Jensen led BYSS with a 44-for-50 showing. Noah Marquiss (43 targets) and Jackson Kempcke (42) both connected with more than 80 percent of their shots, too.
