The Arlington Eagles wrestled under a spotlight Tuesday with the boys winning a 54-23 home dual against Douglas County West.
Just four varsity matches were contested with coach Doug Hart's squad going 2-2 in those bouts. AHS outscored the Falcons 12-11 across those matches, but bolstered its margin of victory by forfeit.
Braxton Soll and Stokely Lewis earned the Eagles two matches on the mat, though. Soll pinned Hudson Harlow in 3:08 at 126 pounds, while Lewis produced a first-period pin at 175 pounds. The latter finished his match against Logan McCartney-Ross in 1:38.
Additionally, Darren Quintana, Zane Gerrish, Jake Flesner, Noah Brodahl, Tanner Kyllo, Brayden Nath and Ben Flesner secured six team points apiece by forfeit for Arlington. The Eagles next wrestle 10 a.m. Saturday during the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament at Fort Calhoun.
