Arlington golfer Teleri Stamper outhit her Bennington and Fremont Bergan opposition off of the second tee Thursday at Stone Creek Golf Course.
The shot down the Omaha fairway appeared that of an experienced veteran.
“Nope,” Stamper said.
In actuality, the Eagle was playing in just her second competition of the season and prep career. She was second among her teammates in strokes over nine holes during Thursday's triangular with the Badgers and Knights.
Bergan won with just 187 swings, while Bennington had 215 and AHS notched 251. The Knights' Jocelyn Kumm shot the day's low score — 42.
Sarah Rhea, Arlington's only golfer with experience prior to this season, took 58 swings to lead coach Cailyn Johnson's group. Kayla Schwedhelm and Stamper, meanwhile, carded 62s.
AHS' Kaelyn Kinnaman added 71 strokes as well and Grace Jones had 72.
The Eagles will continue to gain experience today at Fremont Golf Club — their home course. They'll compete in a quadrangular with Bergan, Fremont and Wahoo there.
