The Arlington junior high football team met Fort Calhoun in its second game of the fall season Tuesday.
The Eagles (2-0 overall) hosted the Pioneers and won 20-0 after Calhoun opened its schedule Sept. 7 against Douglas County West. Arlington, meanwhile, beat Yutan 12-8 in its opener, according to coach Jake Polk.
Eighth-grader Peyton Marfisi scored both Eagle touchdowns against Yutan, including a 20-yard run in the fourth quarter after the opposition pulled ahead 8-6 on a 70-yarder in the second half.
Tucker Jorgensen later stripped the ball from the opposition on a sack, sealing the game for Arlington. Seventh-grader Brantley Fullner notched an interception earlier, too, giving the Eagles a 2-0 win in turnover margin.
Arlington next plays DC West on Tuesday, while Fort Calhoun will play at North Bend Central on the same day.
