County volleyball players claim World-Herald recognition

The Omaha World-Herald released its all-state volleyball teams Sunday and, in the process, recognized six Washington County athletes.
Four Fort Calhoun, one Blair and one Arlington player were noted as honorable mention recipients. The Pioneers listed in Class C1 were Raegen Wells, Olivia Quinlan, Mollie Dierks and Grace Genoways.
Wells, a junior, led FCHS in kills this past season with 170. Genoways had 132, while Quinlan set a single-season school record with 61 service aces.
Dierks, meanwhile, notched a team best 338 digs.
The Bears' sophomore setter, Hailey Roewert, was recognized in Class B, too. She led BHS in assists with 364, while also notching 39 aces and 52 kills.
Emme Timm of Arlington started this past season as a setter before taking her swings as it went on. The World-Herald noted the freshman as a C1 honorable mention recipient after she notched 166 assists, 130 digs, 22 aces and 31 kills.

High School volleyball
