Four Washington County high school spring sports teams were recognized recently with the release of the last Nebraska Coaches Association's Team Academic Excellence Awards of the school year.
Blair's baseball and girls soccer teams were honored as were both the Fort Calhoun boys and girls track and field rosters. The teams were coached by John Roan, Nick Hall and Mandy Taylor this spring, respectively.
To claim the award, teams must have a 3.30 team cumulative GPA or higher during the spring semester. The four Washington County teams met that standard through March, April and May seasons.
