The City of Blair is planning a special tree lighting ceremony next week to kick off the holiday season.
“Tannenbaum” will be 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall. The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.
Residents are invited to stop by for hot chocolate and cookies before the City Hall Christmas tree and downtown are lit for the holiday season.
Blair City Council member Mindy Rump, who is helping plan the event, said the city hopes to grow the tree lighting ceremony in the future.
