The Fort Calhoun High School baseball team suffered its fifth-straight defeat Monday, dropping a 6-2 home game to West Point-Beemer/GACC.
The Pioneers had improved to 3-3 with a road win against Arlington on March 28, but haven't been able to secure a victory since. West Point, meanwhile, earned just its second win of the season on FCHS' diamond Monday.
The Pioneers trailed form the start, but both Chase Bierman and Eric Koterba plated runs. Jordan Back doubled and Declyn Otte tripled, too.
Defensively, Fort Calhoun junior Levi Lasher appeared on the mound after offseason surgery and allowed two runs in three innings, but none earned. He struck two batters, while Back struck one out, too.
FCHS next competes Friday during the first round of the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament. The home game against Raymond Central starts at 4:30 p.m.
