Bouwman to play in NCA All-Star basketball game

Fort Calhoun basketball's all-time leading scorer will cap his high school career July 24 during the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star game at Lincoln North Star.
Senior Grayson Bouwman, a future Morningside Mustang, was announced as one of 24 players set for the 55th annual Red versus Blue matchup. Derek Reinsch of Fillmore Central and Conestoga's Jason Ahrens will coach the Red squad, while Kevin Janata of Howells-Dodge and Grand Island's Jeremiah Slough will lead the Blue team.
Bouwman's team assignment has not been announced. The Class C1 first-team all-stater averaged 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this past season as the Pioneers finished 18-5 overall.
Notable all-stars who competed against Washington County schools during their careers, and will play with Bouwman in Lincoln, include Maverick Binder of Auburn, Wahoo's Marcus Glock, Dane Jacobsen of Ashland-Greenwood, Omaha Concordia's Quientan McCafferty, Crete's Aidan McDowell and Noah Simones of Conestoga.
