The Blair High School volleyball team bounced back from a first-set road loss Thursday to beat Lincoln Northwest in both teams' regular season finale, 3-1.
Coach Jess Lansman's Bears (17-15 overall) lost the opening set 25-12 before battling back with 27-25, 27-25 and 25-23 second-, third- and fourth set-victories. They'll now open postseason play 6:30 p.m. today at Elkhorn North against Bennington during the Class B Subdistrict 1 Tournament.
First, though, Taylor Mostek tallied a BHS-best 14 kills during the four-set win against the Falcons. Madeline Chikos added 11 and Nicki Wendt notched 10.
Hailey Roewert and Mostek were the Bears' most productive servers, too, combining for six aces. Roewert, a setter, had 31 assists and 26 digs, too.
Libero Olivia Wolff, meanwhile, earned the team lead in digs with 29 as Andi Hume produced seven blocks.
