Blair Unified track sets meet records at Norris

The Blair Unified track and field team won five events and set three meet records April 22 at Norris.
Keenan Wyman, Caden Finken, AJ Damme and Riley Yanak combined for the all-time top mark in the 400-meter relay, stopping the clock in 52.6. Yanak and Wyman also worked together to set the new 100 dash best, combining for a 25.3-second time in first place.
The Bears' Jaden Rogge and Cornez Tucker Jr. also set a meet record in the shot put. Their best attempts together covered 71 feet, 10.5 inches for a gold medal.
Other BHS event winners at Norris were Jess Hineman, Elizabeth Bray, Ava Jenkins and Taylor O'Neil. Hineman and Bray took first in the shot put with a combined effort of 46-10 before they joined Jenkins and O'Neil for a 400 relay win in 1:13.7.
The Unified Bears will next compete today in Fort Calhoun before competitions at Gretna on May 6 and in Arlington on May 8.
