The Blair High School boys golf team took 10th out of 11 teams Tuesday during the Eastern Midlands Conference Championships at Lochland Country Club in Hastings.
The Bears carded with 377 strokes, finishing 23 out of ninth and 26 ahead of 11th-place Lincoln Northwest. Norris, meanwhile, won a playoff with Bennington, securing the conference title with 305 strokes.
Jack Schroeder led BHS with a team-low 89 swings across 18 holes. He was 38th out of 54 golfers, carding 46 strokes on holes 1-9 and 43 more on the back nine.
The Bears' Degan Dresden, Justin Bird and Jacob Hanson, meanwhile, finished 44th, 45th and 46th in Hastings, respectively. They finished with 95, 96 and 97 strokes, while Nolan Wolfe finish his round with 109.
Coach Ross Udey's varsity Bears were scheduled to golf Thursday in Wayne and next compete 3:30 p.m. Monday during a home quadrangular at River Wilds Golf Club.
