Four Blair High School soccer players were recently recognized as Class B All-State honorable mention recipients by Nebraska's two largest newspapers.
Sally Kies, a junior, was named by the Lincoln Journal Star. The standout played as a defender early in the season before transitioning back-and-forth from an attack position to the back line during the later stages.
The Bears' Elias Cortez, Mark Donner and Tyler Schroder, meanwhile, were recognized by both the Journal Star and Omaha World-Herald. All seniors, Cortez was a standout midfielder, while Donner played in goal and Schroder was primarily a defender.
The BHS girls finished with a 7-9 record this past spring, while the boys were 4-9.
