The Blair Senior Legion baseball team capped its Dave Van Metre Tournament run with a 4-1 loss to their South Omaha hosts Sunday at Brown Park.
Post 154 cut its deficit to 3-1 during the top of the fourth inning, but it was as close as coach James Bilslend's team would get. Colton Flynn and Owen Mann reached base first before Jackson Livingston moved them over to third and second base with a groundout.
Then, with two outs, Josh Keough produced an RBI single.
Pitcher Andrew Smutny, meanwhile, struck out three batters across six innings in defeat.
The loss dropped Blair to 11-8 this season. Its Tuesday night game with ETC Knights Black from Elkhorn Mount Michael was postponed due to rain.
Post 154 was scheduled to play Wednesday in Ralston and next competes 3 p.m. today against Weeping Water at Omaha Buena Vista.
