Columbus Lakeview earned eight dual wins to the Blair High School boys wrestling team's six Tuesday night.
As a result, the Bears lost the varsity matchup against the Vikings, 40-33. The teams met Tuesday after their original dual date, Dec. 17, was pushed back.
Landon Bernasek, Hudson Loges, Jaxon Logan, Griffin Rosterman, Blaise Baughman and Cornez Tucker Jr. earned BHS' wins on Lakeview's mats. Bernasek and Loges claimed first-period pins at 132 and 138 pounds, respectively, while Rosterman pinned William Hickstein at 190 in 2:10.
Baughman added a 10-0 major decision at 215 pounds before Cornez Tucker Jr. pinned the Vikings' Sebastian De La Cruz at heavyweight.
Though they didn't count toward the dual's final score, the Bears earned two more junior varsity wins Tuesday night. Isaiah Partida scored a pin at 175 pounds, while Tyce Craig-Larsen notched a 12-8 decision at 190.
Blair was scheduled to wrestle Thursday at Missouri Valley, Iowa, and next competes 9:30 a.m. Saturday during Schuyler's home tournament.
