BHS tennis drops dual at Brownell-Talbot

No. 3 doubles team secures Bears' match win

The Blair High School tennis team lost a road dual to Omaha Brownell-Talbot on Thursday.
While the Bears' junior varsity team hosted matches at Stemmermann Park, the varsity Bears fell 4-1 at Omaha Country Club. Coach David Christensen's No. 3 doubles pairing of Roslyn Solano and Hannah Heuton earned BHS' lone win of the trip. The duo produced an 8-4 victory.
Kayleia Chesson and Jo Inget had the next-closest match at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, while the No. 1 doubles team — Ally Sullivan and Abby Leggott — lost 8-3.
In singles play, Blair's Hadyn Ferguson and Angela Roehrs fell short. Ferguson lost 8-0 at No. 1 singles, while Roehrs dropped an 8-3 No. 2 matchup.
Coach Christensen's Bears were scheduled to host Ralston on Monday and next compete 4 p.m. Thursday at Fremont High School.
