The Blair High School tennis team competed in its final dual of the season Thursday at Omaha Skutt.
With three tournaments still to go before the NSAA Class B State Championships on May 22-23, the Bears fell to the Skyhawks, 4-1. The home team claimed eight overall singles wins and three doubles victories, but one BHS duo snuck out their own.
Seniors Hadyn Ferguson and Jo Inget claimed a No. 3 doubles win against Skutt's Natalie Beninato and Estelle McIntosh. The Bears earned their victory by an 8-6 score.
The next closest match of the dual was an unscored, 8-4 doubles match. Roslyn Solano and Angela Roehrs of Blair played it against Lauren Wemhoff and Erin Kalamaja.
Coach David Christensen's varsity lineup was scheduled to compete again Monday during the Eastern Midlands Conference Tournament. It will then play 9 a.m. today back at the Woods Tennis Center during the Lincoln Pius X Tournament before Thursday's 9 a.m. Waverly Invitational at the same location.
