Blair and Class B No. 8 Gretna combined to score six second-half goals Thursday after just one across the first 40 minutes.
The Dragons wound up with one more than the Bears overall, winning the Eastern Midlands Conference boys soccer matchup 4-3. BHS dropped to 4-5 overall and 2-3 on the road this season in defeat.
Coach Peter Massa's Bears actually scored first, though. Junior Isaac Field found the back of the net on an assist from Tommy Scott, giving his team a 1-0 lead it would take into the second half.
Once there, though, Gretna earned a 2-1 lead with back-to-back goals during the early stages. Blair's Drew Wulf briefly tied the match back up at 2-all on a Lane Christensen assist before the Dragons again scored two goals in a row.
Down 4-2, Victor Hernandez connected with Field for his second goal, but Coach Massa's team ran out of time from there. The Bears were scheduled to play Monday against Gretna East, but next compete at Bennington on Thursday.
