Britt Nielsen and Addie Sullivan have plans set for July 23 in Lincoln.
The Washington County high school basketball standouts will both participate during the 45th Nebraska Coaches Association (NCA) All-Star Girls Basketball Game that day at Lincoln North Star. The annual all-star matchup starts at 6 p.m. with the boys' game to follow.
Nielsen, an Arlington senior, was a first-team All-Nebraska Capitol Conference selection this past season. The forward averaged 16.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, leading her Eagles to their first Class C state tournament in more than two decades.
Sullivan, meanwhile, earned All-Eastern Midlands Conference honors during her senior season at Blair High School. The forward averaged 12.1 points per game and is a soon-to-be University of Nebraska-Kearney Loper.
Coaches for the NCA All-Star matchups are Russ Ninemire of Douglas County West, Waverly's John Cockerill, Omaha Skutt's Kip Colony and Tim Barada of Lincoln Southwest. Some other all-star players to share the floor with Washington County teams this past season are Bennington's Presley Baca, Waverly's Parker Christiansen and Anastyn Harms, Linsey Emanuel of North Bend Central and DC West's Ava Grimm. Nielsen, notably, played against Ayla Roth of Milford during the state tourney, too.
In a previous announcement, Fort Calhoun senior Kaylee Taylor was named a roster member for the 6 p.m. July 21 NCA All-Star Softball game at Bowlin Field in Lincoln.
