Ten Blair High School golfers played their first nine holes of the 2025 season Tuesday at River Wilds Golf Club.
After those nine, Aaron Hinman had the lowest total number of strokes for coach Ross Udey's team. He shot a 42 on Nos. 1-9, but the Bears fell to Logan View in a dual, 171-190.
Hinman carded a birdie on hole No. 3 and shot par on two more. His teammates, Jack Schroeder and Degan Dresden, meanwhile, finished with 46 swings apiece. Schroeder birdied No. 6, too, while Dresden finished even on No. 7.
Bears Jacob Hanson and Justin Bird added 56 and 60 strokes, respectively, while Logan View's Josh Egbers shot a dual-low 37 across nine holes.
In junior varsity play, BHS fell to the Raiders by 21 strokes. The Bears' Nolan Wolfe carded 56 swings, while Ryaln Olsen and Carter Miller finished with 57 and 58, respectively. Justin Kramer took 60 swings and Wyatt Gunderson finished with 64 during the season opener.
Coach Udey's team next plays 3 p.m. Monday during an Oakland-Craig quadrangular at Oakland Country Club.
