The varsity outdoor debut of the Blair High School track and field team didn't go as scheduled.
After a junior varsity meet Thursday in Tekamah, the Bears' Saturday morning meet in Ralston was called off due to forecasted cold temperatures.
Now, BHS is set to compete 3 p.m. today in another JV meet at Bennington before Thursday's Lincoln Northwest Invitational. The latter starts at 10 a.m.
The Bears' previous two varsity meets of the season were contested indoors. The first was in Seward at Concordia University before the second at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha.
