The Blair High School tennis team split two home duals to start the week at Stemmermann Park.
On Tuesday, coach David Christensen's team earned a 3-2 win against Omaha Brownell-Talbot/Concordia. It picked up two singles victories and one in doubles.
The Bears' No. 1 player, Abi Lundberg, bested her opposition, 8-6. Fiene Bakker, meanwhile, improved to 2-0 across two days with an 8-2 victory in No. 2 singles.
In doubles play, it was BHS' Ally Sullivan and Abby Leggott who contributed a win to the overall victory. The No. 1 pairing earned an 8-4 win against Brownell-Talbot.
The No. 2 team of Leah Chance and Shelby Wolff fell just short in their match Tuesday, too, 8-6.
In No. 3 singles play, the Bears' Tailyn Anderson dropped an 8-3 match.
A day earlier, Monday, Norris bested the Bears 4-1 at Stemmermann Park.
Bakker claimed BHS' lone win at No. 2 singles, besting Brooklyn Ivy in an 8-6 matchup. The victory was the senior's fifth of the season in singles competition before her sixth Tuesday.
Altogether, though, the Titans dominated on the Bears' home courts. When including non-scoring varsity matchups, the road team went 9-1 in Blair. Lundberg, Anderson, Ana Dasa and Hadyn Ferguson lost 8-2 in what were the next-closest matchups of the dual.
Anderson and Annemarie Proksel played within 8-2 in No. 3 doubles as well.
The Bears were scheduled to play Bennington on Thursday and next compete in reserve and junior varsity matches today at Norfolk.
