Arlington Seniors fall despite late rally

A late rally wasn’t enough to score the Arlington Seniors a win in the Ralph Bishop League Tournament on Sunday.
Trailing Oakland-Craig 7-3 in the seventh inning, the Post 71 Eagles scored three runs. However, the Eagles left the bases loaded and ultimately dropped the contest 7-6.
Coach Ed Menking said the Eagles fought hard but earlier mistakes were costly.
“Eight errors were too much to overcome,” he said.
In the loss, Jack Bang scored two runs and Dalton Newcommer had two hits.
The Arlington Juniors traveled to Wakefield on June 22 and came away with a 10-1 win. The Junior Eagles were scheduled for the Ralph Bishop Tournament but had a bye and did not play Saturday.
