The Arlington Senior Legion baseball team fell to 2-2 overall Tuesday at Oakland-Craig.
Coach TJ Stosich called the 7-6 extra-innings loss a “heartbreaker.”
With Tyler Ott on the mound, Post 71 earned a 6-3 lead. Oakland took advantage of a pitching change, though, and tied the game on a home run swing.
Then, during the bottom of the eighth frame, the home team won on a passed ball.
“Tyler threw well and had a triple, though,” Stosich said. “And Luke Sharp hit a solo shot.”
Arlington was scheduled to play at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Wednesday against Pender. It next competes 8 p.m. Monday at Columbus Lakeview. The Junior Legion game starts at 5:30.
