Eight Arlington High School cross-country runners took part Thursday morning during the Raymond Central Invite at the Branched Oak State Recreation Area.
Leading the eight Eagles, Henry Lancaster produced the top time. He finished 24th overall in 19:25.51, propelling AHS — which rested multiple varsity boys and all of its girls after a Kearney race days earlier — to a sixth-place team result.
Ashton Vollmer added a 28th-place finish in 19:36.58, while Rafaele Magnino was 35th in 20:32.83. Jack Blake (38th), Elijah Hansen (46th) and Oliver Rangel (51st) filled out the Eagles' lineup, too.
In junior varsity competition, Arlington's Jax Tighe was 27th and Dylan Rinas took 36th.
Coach Michaela Curran's team next competes Thursday during the Nebraska Capitol Conference meet at Sycamore Farms in Waterloo. Races begin at 4 p.m.
