The Arlington girls basketball team fell behind 12-9 after one period Saturday at Ashland-Greenwood, but evened their record at 1-1 all the same.
The Eagles dominated the second quarter 15-5, the third 12-6 and won 43-30.
Britt Nielsen led coach Luke Brenn's team with a game-high 16 points. The sophomore sunk three 3-pointers and was 5-for-6 from the foul line.
Freshman Emme Timm added 12 points in her second career game, too.
AHS next competes today at Yutan. The varsity girls game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

AHS drops opener
West Point-Beemer won Thursday's fourth period 11-7 and beat Arlington in both squads' season opener, 44-33.
Freshman Macy Wolf led the Eagles with 12 points during the home defeat, notching eight of those points shortly after coach Brenn's lineup fell behind 19-8 after one quarter. Though junior Taylor Arp scored AHS' first two baskets of the season for a 4-3 lead, it was her ninth-grade teammate who pulled the Eagles back within 21-18.
Wolf first hit a 3-pointer to start the second period before adding a 2-point bucket to cut the visiting Cadets' advantage to 19-15. Her second 3 put Arlington right back in contention for the lead.
The Eagles won the second period on the scoreboard 12-10 before claiming a low-scoring third, 6-4. West Point put the game away in the fourth, though, outscoring AHS by four across 8 minutes of crunch time.
Wolf's 12 points led the way, but Arp also added eight. Timm, the point guard, ran the offense and scored six points — the same total notched by Nielsen.
Cadets sophomore Campbell Snodgrass, meanwhile, led all scorers with 18 points in the season opener.
