The Arlington boys basketball team snapped its five-game losing streak Tuesday, topping Plattsmouth at home, 49-36.
The Eagles (9-11 overall) took control of the game during the third period, outscoring the Blue Devils 17-2 for a 34-23 lead going into the final quarter.
AHS' Oliver Ladehoff scored eight of his game-high 16 points during the decisive 8 minutes, while Jaxson Burns and Schuyler Logemann hit 3-pointers, too.
Trent Koger, meanwhile, finished the Eagles' first win since Jan. 20 with 12 points.
Plattsmouth's Gage Olsen led his team in defeat with 13, too.
Arlington next competes today at Louisville before its regular season finale Feb. 16 at Omaha Concordia.

No. 9 NBC beats AHS
Class C2 No. 9 North Bend Central traveled to Arlington and beat the Eagles on Monday, 63-30.
The loss was the Eagles' 11th of the season, while the Tigers improved to 14-4.
AHS played with NBC early, turning a pair of putbacks into just a 5-4 deficit. First, Burns rebounded his own miss under the basket and scored his team a 2-0 lead. Koger then did the same, halting a 5-0 North Bend run.
Points were hard to come by from there, though. The Eagles trailed 18-4 in the second period before Ladehoff finally cut off the Tigers' 13-0 scoring streak. Koger added four more points during the quarter, while Burns hit a 3-pointer, but Arlington still trailed 30-13 at the break.
North Bend won the third quarter 14-9, too, but AHS did put together a 6-0 run after falling behind by 23 points. Kieryn Grothe hit a 3-pointer first before Ladehoff hit a free throw and Koger made a bucket inside.
The Eagles started the fourth period with Grothe, Koger, Luke Sharp, Killian McIntosh and Owen Ladehoff on the floor. They moved up-and-down the floor with the Tigers, but failed to make a dent in the ninth-ranked team's lead to challenge late in the game.
Koger led Arlington with 11 points, while Burns notched seven and Oliver Ladehoff scored five. Sam Post led all scorers with 17 points for North Bend.
