Trinity Lutheran Church will hold its annual Pie and Dessert Auction starting at approximately 9:30 a.m. this Sunday, Feb. 11.
Past offerings have included everything from traditional cherry, apple and peach pies, to elaborate cheesecakes, tortes and tarts, as well as sweet rolls, brownies and cookies.
“I enjoy the energy at the Pie Auction, and the enthusiasm of the children as they are allowed to place bids for items of their choosing, of course with parent approval," said auction organizer and Board of Fellowship Chair Miranda Moriarity. “I also appreciate the generosity of the congregation members in sharing their talents to create delicious, and sometimes very artistic, baked goods.”
Funds will help provide summer camp scholarships for Camp Luther, community outreach funds, Board of Fellowship needs and for maintenance and repair projects identified by the Board of Properties.
The auction will be held in the Fellowship Hall between traditional worship services at 8 a.m. and the contemporary worship services at 10:30 a.m. The public is cordially invited to attend either of the services as well as the auction.
The church is located at 141 S. 20th Street in Blair. Both the church and Fellowship Hall are handicap-accessible.
