The fairways, rough and greens were damp at the start of the Arlington Invite on Thursday at River Wilds Golf Club.
The sun snuck through the clouds briefly during the first hour of play, but disappeared behind them for most of the tournament.
“The wind was definitely a factor,” AHS senior Schulyer Logemann added. “But, other than that, you just had to hit the ball straight.”
Fremont Bergan earned first across 18 holes, finishing 17 strokes over par. Logan View was second at 39-over, while third-place Omaha Concordia was 43-over.
Coach Landon Walkenhorst's Eagles team, meanwhile, was 12th. Winston Slykhuis shot the host's lowest score, 95 strokes, finishing two holes even — the No. 7 par-3 and the par-3 No. 17.
Logemann added 110 swings total, carding three of them on the par-3 14th hole. It was the senior's final home tourney after last playing it as a sophomore in spring 2023.
“I definitely enjoy it even if I'm playing bad,” Logemann said of golf. “But I've definitely improved a lot since sophomore year.”
Arlington's Trenton Hansen and Jack Rosenbalm added 114 and 115 strokes in Coach Walkenhorst's lineup Thursday, respectively. Calvin Flesner had 120, too.
The day's individual medalist, Boston Bojanski of Fremont Bergan, shot an even-par 72. He had three birdies.

Eagles play 18 at NBC Invite
A day before hosting its own tournament, Arlington competed April 30 at the North Bend Central Invite.
Rain delayed the start, but the Eagles played all 18 holes with Slykhuis leading the way. He carded 91 swings, while Logemann added 96 and Flesner totaled 111.
Rosenbalm and Hansen added 115 and 124 strokes, too, as Coach Walkenhorst's team finished with 413 swings altogether. AHS next plays 9 a.m. Thursday during the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament at County Drive Golf Course near Ashland.
