Bruning scores 12 in home opener

The Arlington girls basketball team fell to 0-2 Saturday on the opening weekend of the season.
The Eagles struggled to keep up, falling 68-35 at Ashland-Greenwood.
AHS trailed 19-8 after one period and 42-13 after two in the loss. It next plays tonight at Yutan.

Eagles fall in opener
West Point-Beemer outscored the Eagles 21-8 during the second period and earned a season-opening win Thursday, 55-38.
AHS dropped its home debut despite 12 points from senior Kylee Bruning. Keelianne Green added eight points, while both Kailynn Gubbels and Kate Miller notched seven.
After scoring just 21 points through three quarters, the Eagles notched 17 during the fourth on their home floor.
